Bellator 258: Peter Queally Thanks McGregor, Gallagher, and Calls for Patricio Pitbull

Uncasville, CT — Peter Queally took out one of the Pitbull Brothers last night at Bellator 258, and is looking to take out the champion next. Queally won via doctor stoppage as Patricky Pitbull was deemed unable to continue after a gnarly cut opened up due to the SBG fighter’s elbow. The Pitbull brothers both believed the fight should not have been stopped, with double-champ Patricio in his brother’s corner.

Cageside Press was on scene to talk to Queally post-fight.

“I didn’t expect it to get stopped by a cut,” Queally stated following the bout. “The actual fight I expected, I thought he’d come after me. I knew I’d be better than him in this fight. I’m one of the few who can beat the Pitbull brothers at their own game,” Queally continued.

Queally and the double champion Patricio Pitbull exchanged words following the stoppage, “I think he was mad I beat his brother; I understand you are emotional and things.” Of course, as Queally went on to point out, “there is something you can do if you are angry about it, fight me.”

Conor McGregor, a teammate of Queally at SBG Ireland tweeted out a congratulations to his victorious teammate. Fellow SBG member James Gallagher was one of the lone coaches for Queally as John Kavanaugh could not make the trip due to Visa issues.
