Giga Chikadze did not need long to get his highest profile win, stopping Cub Swanson with a body kick early on in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 25.

Cub Swanson vs. Giga Chikadze as the UFC Vegas 25 co-main event felt like it flew under the radar, simply because of the magnitude of just how much firepower both Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka possess in their hands for the main event fight.

The fight didn’t last long as Giga Chikadze was like a buzzsaw with his patented “Giga” kick, wasting very little time with a brutal kick to the liver. This was all that was needed to end the fight early in the first round. Cub Swanson tried to do everything possible to stay in the fight, grabbing Giga’s leg in desperation, but the damage was already done by the brutal kick to the fighter’s liver which had a slap that echoed throughout the entire arena. The referee stepped in, leaving no doubt that Giga Chikadze is a contender in the Featherweight Division with his first round TKO finish of a tough Cub Swanson.

The UFC tested Giga Chikadze and he passed, continuing his eight fight win streak with using the “Giga Kick”. With all the respect in the world, Giga called out Max Holloway and said that if he is unavailable, Calvin Kattar would do.
