Karl “Baby K” Roberson (9-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC)
Middleweight (185lbs): 4-2 (UFC), Missed weight 1x
Light Heavyweight (205lbs): 0-1 (UFC)
Karl Roberson burst on the scene in the UFC with his appearance on the 2017 season of the Contender Series. Roberson competed at 205lbs and was able to finish Ryan Spann in just 15 seconds. However, once in the UFC, Roberson went to the middleweight division and has seen all of his success in the weight class.
Standing at 6’1″ with a 74″ reach, and a muscular frame Roberson is a tweener. Karl is a little too big for the middleweight division but at 205lbs, he is undersized with his physical attributes. Its worth noting that Roberson’s lone loss at light heavyweight was to the man who is challenging Jan Blachowicz for the belt, Glover Teixeira.
Karl missed weight in his most recent fight against Marvin Vettori in June of last year. Roberson came in at 190.5lbs for the bout missing the 186lbs weight limit by a wide margin. At 30 years old, Roberson will definitely be a fighter to watch on the scale for the UFC 261 weigh-in.
