ONE on TNT III took place Wednesday, April 21, and saw another predictably violent knockout from John Lineker in the main event.
Lineker (34-9) floored short-notice opponent Troy Worthen with a single punch, turned out the lights with a second, and may very well have punched his ticket to a date with Bibiano Fernandes. Long one of the promotion’s biggest stars, Fernandes has been out of action since 2019, but the bantamweight champ will likely be ready to return later this year.
The only other finish on the ONE on TNT III card came in the night’s lone Muay Thai contest — which saw a showdown between striking legends Nieky Holzken and newly signed John Wayne Parr. Holzken walked away with his hand raised, finishing Parr in the second round after dropping him with a head kick, and spoiling the 44-year old’s ONE debut.
Ok Rae Yoon, meanwhile, won the Eddie Alvarez sweepstakes at ONE on TNT III. The winner of the fight, which was previously determined as the event was aired via tape delay, earned a shot at Eddie Alvarez at ONE on TNT IV. Turns out, that will be the South Korean.
