Tracy Cortez has only been in the UFC just under two years since being brought in after her dominant performance on the Contender Series. This unanimous decision victory against Mariya Agapova was, like all her pro fights prior to that, in the flyweight divison.
But once Tracy Cortez got to the UFC she moved up to the bantamweight division, and rattled off two wins. Both unanimous decision victories, first against Vanessa Melo and most recently against Stephanie Egger.
Cortez will be returning to the weight class where she has competed for most of her career for UFC Vegas 24. And at 27 years old and with a 5’5″ tall and 67″ reach frame, Cortez could very well be a fighter to watch out for in the UFC’s women’s flyweight division.
