On Friday April 2 at Bellator 255, undefeated Roman Faraldo (4-0) steps into the cage with Massachusetts’ Trevor Gudde. The 2-1 Gudde stands at a massive 6’7 compared to the 6’1 Faraldo. The height difference doesn’t worry the undefeated KO artist Faraldo much.
“I’ve prepared for this opponent,” Faraldo told the media, including Cageside Press, during the Bellator 255 virtual media day this week. “Not quite heavyweights, but a lot of middleweights, some light heavyweights, any big bodies,” Faraldo laughed. “I don’t think this guy has anything that I’m not prepared for.”
The game plan for Faraldo remains the same as it has always been, look for a vicious KO. Currently 4-0 with four KO’s, he was also three for three in KO’s in his amateur career. The power punching and precision will be on display at Bellator 255.
“It’s always the game plan,” Faraldo said about looking for the KO. “My game plan is always a finish, haven’t had the opportunity to submit someone yet, I leave it out of the judges’ hands,” Faraldo continued. “I will take my time, will really showcase my skills and when it presents itself then I’ll take it.”
Although never tasting defeat in his young career, Faraldo will be the first to tell you he has improved immensely since both his pro and amateur debuts. Now walking into his 5th professional fight, Faraldo looks to showcase it.
“I’m my biggest critic,” Faraldo shared. “I watch my fights as if I was my opponent, where are the holes in my game? Just because I win doesn’t mean there is nothing to improve on. I go into every fight looking to adapt.”
