Amir is a hot 27-year-old prospect who is a veteran of both the Bellator and Brave CF promotions. Albazi’s only loss is to UFC veteran Jose Torres. Amir has a grappling background and most of his finishes are via submission.
Albazi has good takedowns too in order to get his opponents to the place where he is most comfortable finishing the fight. He also has very competent striking with good defense to help him out, because after all, every fight begins on the feet.
Amir’s last fight was last July, when he submitted Malcolm Gordon with a beautiful triangle choke at the end of the very first round.
Albazi will get things started at UFC 257, facing Zhalgas Zhumagulov in the very first fight of the night.
