10 Lightweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2021

Anthony “The Genius” Romero

 23 | 5’11″ | Ontario, Canada | 9-0 | 3 Finishes | 3 KO/TKOs, 1 Submission (RNC) | Combined Opponents’ Record: 43-14 | Best Win – Mike Breeden (8-2)

Romero has won multiple titles as an amateur, is 18-1 as a pro and amateur combined, and last August he won on the Contender Series. Despite a very impressive performance over a tough Mike Breeden, he wasn’t awarded a contract. He made his LFA debut shortly after his Contender Series fight which should help him finally get to the UFC.

Romero is a Taekwondo black belt and a world IBJJF bronze medalist. Romero is extremely well-rounded. He has excellent wrestling, a good ground game, very technical on the feet, and has a great gas tank. He’s very intelligent in the fight game and with another win or two he should no doubt be in the UFC.
