Saparbek Safarov (9-3 MMA, 1-3 UFC)

Middlweight (185lbs): 0-1 (UFC)

Light Heavyweight (205lbs): 1-2 (UFC)

Saparbek Safarov has had a rough time so far in the UFC, since entering the promotion with an undefeated 8-0 record back in late 2016. Saparbek was a light heavyweight for the majority of his professional and UFC career. A heavier weight class worked well for Saparbek outside of the UFC and he produced finishes in all of his bouts on the way to the octagon. Safarov was in a fight of the night for his UFC debut, against Gian Villante, though it was a losing effort.

After splitting the next two fights and an injury, Safarov moved down to the middleweight division and lost to Rodolfo Vieira in March of 2020. This Saturday Safarov will again look to the middleweight division to try and get another win and some momentum within the UFC.
