Team UFC suffered a fourth round TKO against Team WBC as the MMA fighters came up short against the boxers on Celebrity Family Feud.

The UFC sent a line-up of former champions and fan-favorites, but ultimately the delegation of MMA fighters fell to 0-2 on Celebrity Family Feud as they lost to Team WBC on Thursday night.  Recorded prior to the pandemic, the UFC fighters competed for the V Foundation for Cancer Research.

Team UFC was comprised of a line-up featuring Hall-of-Famer Forrest Griffin, former champions Henry Cejudo and Holly Holm, and fan-favorites Stephen Thompson and Michelle Waterson.  Team WBC (World Boxing Council) was led by heavyweight legend Evander Holyfield, Shawn Porter, top prospect Ryan Garcia, former champion Riddick Bowe, and WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman.

In the first question, Team WBC’s was faster on the buzzer though neither team managed to sweep the board on the question “Name an animal your wife turns into as soon as you come to bed?”  Team WBC put up the answers bear, cat, and lioness.

Team UFC went on to rally in the second round after WBC won at the buzzer for the question: “Some men are so lonely, they’ll go out on a date with their who?”  The boxers guessed mother and sister, but the mixed martial artists stole the round with cousin.

Shawn Porter put the team back on the board for the third question: “Name an S word that a woman loves to hear her man call her.”  The team put up answers sweet, sexy, and smart.

Finally, Team WBC won the competition in the fourth round with answers to the question: “I’m in the mood for___?”  The team swept the board with: Love, food, sleep, and drink.

Ryan Garcia and Shawn Porter went on to play fast money and put up 152 points for the team.  Porter went on to clear the board and win $25,000 for their charity the Andy Vargas Foundation.

It was the second time that a group of MMA fighters came up short on the popular game show.  Last year, Team MMA competed with fighters from the UFC and Bellator coming up short against a team led by former WWE superstars Nikki and Brie Bella.
