Frankie Edgar

Frankie Edgar showed he still has gas in the tank when he dropped down to 135-pounds and defeated Pedro Munhoz earlier this year. Dillashaw would be a deserved step up in competition in his new weight class and, like Aldo, it seems as though Edgar is around at bantamweight for a good time, not a long time.

Like the previously mentioned potential opponents, this match-up would pit two former UFC champions against each other. Plus, they’re two of the best to ever do it in the promotion, and are a couple of the all-time greats in the lighter weight classes. Couple all of that with Edgar’s recent victory and current top-five ranking, with the winner moving directly into the bantamweight title-picture, and we’ve got a fight that checks all the boxes.

While it could’ve been a super-fight for the ages under different circumstances years ago, Dillashaw-Edgar would still be fun to see in 2021.
