The UFC has booked an interesting light heavyweight bout for early December.

Sources have confirmed to Cageside Press that Ovince Saint Preux, who recently returned to the 205lb division after a brief flirtation with heavyweight, will face Jamahal Hill on December 5. The event is expected to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Saint Preux (25-14) will be facing his second straight Contender Series alum in the fight. In his most recent outing, OSP knocked out Alonzo Menifield in the second round at UFC Vegas 9. Ahead of the fight, which was originally scheduled for August, Saint Preux had contracted COVID-19.

Ultimately, the bout was pushed back a few weeks. Saint Preux appeared no worse for the wear, however.

Prior to that fight, Saint Preux had moved up to heavyweight in order to take on Ben Rothwell, a fight that ended in a split decision loss for the Tennessee-based fighter.

Jamahal Hill (7-0, 1NC) won his first two fights under the UFC banner after debuting for the promotion earlier this year. He followed up a unanimous decision win over Darko Stosic with a knockout of Klidson Abreu back in May. However, after testing positive for marijuana metabolites, the win was overturned to a no contest.

The UFC’s December 5 card (UFC Fight Night 185) is expected to be headlined by Darren Till and Jack Hermansson in a key middleweight bout.
