Herbert Burns, the younger brother of UFC welterweight Gilbert Burns, has hit the ground running since his 2019 Contender Series fight. Herbert, like his brother, has a highly advanced Brazilian jiujitsu grappling game that is perceived to be the main threat to all the opponents he has faced.

Burns has finished both opponents that he has faced in the UFC thus far. The only KO of Herbert’s career was in his first UFC fight against Nate Landwehr in January. Herbert landed some vicious knees from the clinch in the very first round to finish the fight.  At UFC 250 Herbert scored a win over Evan Dunham, by rear-naked choke in the first round. Herbert looked really polished against a veteran and on a big card.
