Montel “Quick” Jackson (9-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC)

Bantamweight (135lbs): 4-1 (UFC), Missed weight 1 time.

Montel Jackson is a rising bantamweight on a three-fight win streak. Jackson has a lot of size for 135lbs with, standing at 5’10” and possessing a 75.5″ reach.

Jackson missed weight in his fight against Brian Kelleher back in December of 2018. Montel won the fight, by D’Arce choke in the first round but weighed in at 137lbs the day prior. Kelleher actually was gracious enough to return the 20-percent of Jackson’s purse that was deducted because of missing weight. After the fight, Jackson blamed the weight cutting miss on a scale that was off at a local gym where he was working weight off. By the time Jackson had realized that he was off on weight, it was basically too late and he missed weight. Montel isn’t likely to miss weight again but he definitely has a large frame for the division, potentially meaning he won’t be able to make bantamweight forever, and is a fighter to watch out for on fight night.
