Luis “Violent Bob Ross” Pena (8-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC)
Featherweight (145lbs): 1-0 (UFC), Missed weight one time
Lightweight (155lbs): 3-2 (UFC), Competitor of The Ultimate Fighter 27
Luis Pena is one of the tallest lightweights inside of the UFC, as he stands at 6’3″ tall. Pena trained out of the American Kickboxing Academy, a camp that is known for its wrestling and Pena is no different (he has since moved to ATT). Luis cuts a lot of weight as most fighters from the wrestling discipline traditionally do. Pena is 26 years old and with his frame able to cut enough weight to make sure that he can use his physical gift as an advantage.
After competing on TUF 27 where he was injured during the show and then losing a split decision to Mike Trizano in November of 2018 Pena was looking for a spark. Pena attempted to find that spark at 145bs, a weight he thought he could make, but it was just too much weight for him to cut. Pena moved back up in his next fight and is 2-1 since returning to the lightweight division.
