The musical chairs of dates continues for the UFC, with the latest fight to shift cards being Jennifer Maia vs. Viviane Araujo.

The fight was originally announced back in February, and at the time, the flyweight pair were scheduled for June 27 in Austin, Texas. With that option obviously off the table, and travel restrictions in play, a new report by MMA Fighting has the bout pegged for August 1.

Maia (17–6–1) had her most recent bout against women’s flyweight title challenger, Katlyn Chookagian, back in November at UFC 244. A loss to Chookagian (who would come up sort against 125lb champ Valentina Shevchenko) snapped a two-fight winning streak for the Brazilian.

Fellow Brazilian Araujo (8-2), who last fought in December, is coming off a loss to Jessica Eye at UFC 245. Araujo is 1-1 in the weight class inside the octagon, and holds a 2-1 record in the promotion. Her biggest win is arguably over former women’s bantamweight title challenger Alexis Davis.

The August 1 UFC event does not yet have an official title or location. However, it is expected to be headlined by a pair of women’s bantamweights. That fight will see former 135lb champion Holly Holm take on top contender Irene Aldana. Derek Brunson vs. Edmen Shahbazyan is expected to serve as the co-main event.
