Kevin Aguilar is a Dana White’s Contender Series alum that stepped up and won a lightweight fight in order to score a UFC contract. That DWCS fight was Kevin’s first lightweight fight since 2013. Kevin Aguilar is 31 years old, stands at 5’7″ and has a 73″ reach. Aguilar is coming off a first-round finish loss to Zubaira Tukhugov in February at UFC Auckland. Aguilar’s UFC on ESPN 10 bout with Charles Rosa was announced June 4 so it’s safe to say that had quite a bit to do with the bout being held at lightweight.

Charles Rosa is 33 years old, stands at 5’9″ and posses a 69″ reach. Rosa’s entire UFC career, since his debut in 2014, has been in the featherweight weight class. Rosa’s last fight was just last month at UFC 249 where he lost a unanimous decision to Bryce Mitchell. Rosa’s fight with Kevin Aguilar was announced June 4 so again, it’s safe to say that had quite a bit to do with the bout being held at lightweight.
