Bellator’s European Series is bringing the promotion back to Dublin, Ireland for the second time this year. During Monday’s Spring and Summer 2020 Showcase, a press conference highlighting some of the best Bellator action in the next six months, the company also unveiled that Patricky Pitbull vs. Peter Queally will top a newly announced event on October 3, 2020.
That card will take place at Dublin’s 3Arena. No other fights have been announced for the show.
Queally (12-5-1), a Dublin native, is 1-1 inside the Bellator cage to date. He joined the promotion last year, dropping a fight to Myles Price before picking up a win over Ryan Scope. In February at the year’s first Bellator Dublin card, Queally was expected to face off with former lightweight champion Brent Primus. However, an injury forced the Irish fighter off the card.
Now, he gets an arguably bigger test against Brazil’s Patricky Pitbull, brother of dual-weight kingpin Patricio.
The elder Pitbull brother is 23-9 as a pro, and was recently on loan to RIZIN for their lightweight grand prix. Pitbull made it all the way to the finale of that tournament, before losing a unanimous decision in the finale against Tofiq Musayev.
The loss snapped a seven-fight win streak for the lightweight.
