The official, and only, weigh-in for UFC Washington (UFC on ESPN 7) was set to go down Friday morning, with Alistair Overeem, Jairzinho Rozenstruik and the rest of the card hitting the scales.

Mr. White goes to Washington. Or well, the UFC does this weekend, putting on the final ESPN proper show of the year, UFC on ESPN 7. Better known as UFC Washington, Saturday’s card was set to feature Alistair Overeem and Jarzinho Rozenstruik in the main event.

Heavyweight notables Stefan Struve and Ben Rothwell also featured, while Marina Roriguez and Cynthia Calvillo made up the women’s strawweight co-headliner.

With the show set to go down at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., Friday morning saw the official, and only, weigh-ins for the event transpire.

It was smooth sailing through the first hour of Friday’s weigh-in. Both Bryce Mitchell (who almost stripped down in front of the cameras) and Thiago Alves weighed in successfully with a barrier. However just past the first hour, Matt Sayles, also weighing in with a barrier, missed weight for his featherweight bout with Mitchell. Sayles would come in 2.5lbs over the featherweight limit.

Cynthia Calvillo would weigh in a bit later, missing weigh by an ever wider margin. With the barrier, she hit 120.5lbs for her strawweight main event. A full 4.5lbs over the non-title limit. Tim Means then hit 171.5lbs for his welterweight fight against Thiago Alves. He stripped down and used the barrier, in good spirits, until the commission read the scale at 171.5lbs again, meaning Means had lost nothing despite dropping his shorts. Means would later make a second attempt, weight in successfully. Both Sayles and Calvillo, however, would forfeit a portion of their purse.

Main event fighters Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Alistair Overeem, meanwhile, had no issues weighing in, making that fight official well before the end of weigh-ins.
