ONE Championship’s latest offering, Age of Dragons, had kickboxing in the spotlight in Beijing, China on Saturday.
At Age of Dragons, a champion retained his belt, and a new champion was crowned for the first time. ONE Championship’s return to Beijing, China had Ilias Ennahachi retain his title against China’s own Wang Wenfeng. The flyweight kickboxing title fight went the distance, with Ennahachi’s reign continuing thanks to a split decision.
Roman Krykli, meanwhile, became the inaugural ONE light heavyweight kickboxing champion with a second-round TKO of Tarik Khbabez.
On the MMA side, China’s Meng Bo knocked out former title challenger Laura Balin, and India’s Ritu Phogat defeated Nam Hee Kim. Both finishes came in the opening round.
