Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier, along with the rest of the UFC 242 card, hit the scales Friday morning for the PPV’s official weigh-in!
The UFC’s return to Abu Dhabi, UFC 242, was a big one. Full of big tests. A test to see if Dustin Poirier could overcome the dreaded Khabib Nurmagomedov, and upgrade from interim to undisputed champion. A test to see if Khabib truly was the draw many thought he was. And a test to see if UFC fans would buy a PPV card in the middle of their Saturday afternoon.
First up, however, was the weigh-in, of course. All eyes would be on champ Khabib Nurmagomedov, whose weight struggles were hopefully in the distant past. They seemed to be. Khabib made weight — but needed a towel to do so. Poirier made weight without issue, and co-main event lightweight Paul Felder, as promised, made championship weight as well. Just in case.
Carlos Diego Ferreira and Mairbek Taisumov also weighed in with a towel, with both making weight. So too did Sarah Moras. Moras, however missed weight.
