Stipe Miocic shocked Daniel Cormier and everyone else at UFC 241, which had the pros talking — including, of course, Jon Jones.
UFC 241 saw the heavyweight championship of the world on the line in the main event. Stipe Miocic finally got his much-desired rematch with Daniel Cormier. And one thing we learned early on: this fight was going to go much longer than the pair’s original meeting, which was a quick knockout win for Daniel Cormier.
In fact, it went four rounds. At which point, Stipe Miocic reminded the world, including Daniel Cormier, why he’s the man many consider the greatest heavyweight of all time. The man with the most consecutive heavyweight title defenses. After being down likely three frames, Miocic began working over the body of the champ. He then rocked Cormier, backing him up to the fence and sending him crashing down in a flurry of punches. Soon enough the ref called it off. Once again, Stipe Miocic was heavyweight champion of the world.
A crazy turn of events, and one that of course had the pros talking. Including rival Jon Jones. While D.C. didn’t rule out retirement following the fight, at 40, he’s going to take a good long look at calling it a career. Meanwhile, see how the pros reacted below!

Not a pro, still a good tweet
The reason I respect @dc_mma is that he's consistently stayed at the apex of his sport for years in front of challenger after challenger — including fights against guys that can't win clean — and remained a great dad, husband, and inspirational figure. THAT is a champ. #ufc241
