Get one last look at all fighters from UFC 240 posing and facing off prior to tomorrow’s show at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta.
Edmonton, AB — And there you have it. The final photo op. The last face-off. The festivities are complete — except for the fights themselves. On Friday afternoon in Edmonton, all fighters from UFC 240 appeared on stage at the Rogers Place so fans could get one last look at their favorites. Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar throw down in the main event, a fight that seems to take on new meeting when you realize that both fighters had their young sons on stage with them.
Mini-Blessed, of course, is a regular feature at this point. Edgar’s son, meanwhile, had an F shaved into the back of his head in support of dad Frankie.
While most of the ceremonial weigh-ins were civil, if not formulaic, a couple of fighters made things memorable. Krzysztof Jotko had to be restrained for a moment after getting a little too enthusiastic, though there was never a feeling that he was actually about to strike Marc-Andre Barriault.
Cris Cyborg, meanwhile, gave Felicia Spencer the cold shoulder, snubbing her offer of a handshake.
Oh well. They weren’t there to be friends or trade niceties, after all. Tomorrow, they will face off in the cage, to see whose mastery of martial arts reigns supreme.
