A light heavyweight match-up featuring Glover Teixeira vs. Nikita Krylov, and a heavyweight showdown with Todd Duffee vs. Jeff Hughes has been added to UFC Vancouver.

Glover Teixeira vs. Nikita Krylov and Todd Duffee vs. Jeff Hughes have both been added to UFC Vancouver in September. The UFC confirmed both bouts via their social media.

Teixeira (29-7) is coming off back-to-back submission wins over Karl Roberson and Ion Cutelaba so far in 2019. The 39-year-old has won consecutive bouts for the first time since 2016. Teixeira is a former UFC title-challenger and has been in the UFC since 2012. The Brazilian has earned a UFC record of 12-5, with ten stoppage wins along the way. It should also be noted that Teixeira’s losses have come to Jon Jones, Phil Davis, Anthony Johnson, Alexander Gustafsson and Corey Anderson respectively.

Kyrlov (26-6) is also a veteran in MMA despite being only 26-years-old. The Ukrainian has been fighting since age 19. Most recently, Krylov earned his first win in his second UFC stint with a submission victory over Ovince St. Preux in their rematch at UFC 236. Krylov is a former Fight Nights Global champion, and holds a 7-4 record across his two stints in the Octagon.

Todd Duffee (9-3) is returning to the Octagon for the first time since 2015. The 33-year-old did try to fight in 2017, but an injury forced him to withdraw from his UFC 209 bout against Mark Godbeer. Duffee’s most recent showing is a first-round knockout loss to Frank Mir. Duffee is 3-2 in the UFC.

Hughes (10-2) most recently lost a split decision to Maurice Greene in their rematch at UFC Wichita in his UFC debut. Hughes is a Dana White’s Contender Series signee who is also a former LFA champion. The 31-year-old has a 50% finishing rate.

UFC on ESPN+ 16 live from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on Sept. 14, 2019. The venue or main event has not been announced yet.
