A pair of 4-0 prospects will get their shot at the big stage when Aleksa Camur and Fabio Cherant face off on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series on July 30.
The big hit show, Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, is back for a third season this summer. Contracts have been sent out and many fights have already been confirmed. Sources have now confirmed to Cageside Press that a light heavyweight bout between Aleksa Camur and Fabio Cherant will go down on July 30.
Aleksa Camur is undefeated as a pro at 4-0 and an amateur at 4-0 as well. Fighting out of Broadview Heights, Ohio, Camur trains out of Strong Style Fight Team. He’s a sparring partner of current UFC fighter and former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.
Camur has a perfect finish rate in his eight total professional and amateur fights. All eight stoppages are by KO/TKO. Camur has fought his entire career in his home state of Ohio for Honor FC and IT Fight Series.
Standing across from Camur will be Fabio Cherant, who is also 4-0 as a professional. The 24-year-old is fighting out of Wretham, Massachusetts, and trains out of Sityodtong Boxing.
Like Camur, Cherant has a perfect finish rate as a pro and amateur. Unlike Camur, who has all stoppages by the way of strikes, Cherant has all of his wins by submission. As an amateur, he fought for the well-known promotion Cage Titans out of Massachusetts. All four of his pro bouts have been for a top feeder league in CES.
Aleksa Camur was mentioned by The Body Lock’s Brandon Sibcy in our Future of MMA piece earlier this year, as well as our Contender Series scouting series.
