UFC Stockholm has added a lightweight bout between Christos Giagos, who’s in his second stint with the UFC, and Damir Hadzovic.

The Octagon is making a big splash in its return for its UFC Stockholm event. Newly added to the card is a lightweight bout between Christos Giagos and Bosnia’s Damir Hadžović. The two look to continue their winning ways in the cage on June 1 at the Ericsson Globe Arena.

Christos Giagos is in the midst of his second stint in the UFC. After being cut in 2015, Giagos made a comeback and took a challenging fight against Charles Oliveira. While he came up short in that bout, Giagos won his second fight against Mizuto Hirota in December. “The Spartan” will be looking for his first win streak back in the promotion as he steps foot inside the cage across from Hadžović.

Damir Hadžović has been with the promotion since 2016. Since then he has gone 3-2, and is currently riding a two-fight win streak. With a Performance of the Night award from a big KO via knee, and most recently, a TKO in February, Hadžović will undoubtedly be looking to put on a banger for fans in Stockholm.

The two lightweights look to make their name in a stacked lightweight division that saw the crowning of a new interim champ last night.

As the UFC returns to the land of the Vikings, they are putting together a card with the finest Nordic talent the promotion has. Headlining the card is three-time title challenger Alexander Gustafsson, who is taking on Anthony Smith. Gustafsson’s teammate, Ilir Latifi is also taking on Volkan Oezdemir. Other notables on the card are Jimi Manuwa and Aleksandar Rakić, Makwan Amirkhani versus Chris Fishgold among others.
