Sandwiched between Bellator and UFC events this weekend, KSW 47 went down on Saturday, with a heavyweight title fight and the return of Mariusz Pudzianowski topping the event.

KSW 47 took place Saturday in Lodz, Poland, with a heavyweight double bill atop the card. The Polish MMA powerhouse had champ Phil De Fries facing light heavyweight king Tomasz Narkun in a champ-vs-champ battle. Then in the co-main event, World’s Strongest Man great Mariusz Pudzianowski returned to continue his unlikely (and surprisingly successful, to date) MMA career against Olympian Szymon Kolecki.

Also on the card, former Bellator MMA and RIZIN athlete Satoshi Ishii brought a five-fight win streak into his promotional debut, where he took on Brazil’s Fernando Rodrigues Jr. Ishii, of late, had picked up a couple of titles outside the majors, while Rodrigues last fought against James McSweeney in 2018, earning a unanimous decision win.
