Said Nurmagomedov will fight for the second time in 2019 when the rising bantamweight takes on Brazil’s Raoni Barcelos at UFC 237.

UFC 237 has a bantamweight scrap added to the official card. On Monday, the UFC announced via social media that Said Nurmagomedov, cousin of lightweight champ Khabib, would face Brazil’s Raoni Barcelos at the event. UFC 237 takes place in May in Rio de Janeiro.

The announcement marks yet another bout added to the PPV event that is not a headliner, as the UFC 237 main event has yet to be revealed. It seems as if, for the time being, Rose Namajunas vs. Jessica Andrade for the strawweight title will serve as the show’s co-main event.

In this most recent addition, Said Nurmagomedov (13-1) will look to make it three in a row in the UFC against Barcelos, in enemy territory. That’s nothing new for Said, however, as his last bout also came in Brazil, at UFC Fortaleza. There he finished Ricardo Ramos, setting up a TKO with a spinning back kick. Prior to that, he earned a split decision over Justin Scoggins.

Like Nurmagomedov, Raoni Barcelos is also 13-1, and also 2-0 in the UFC. On a six fight win streak, he’ll have the home field advantage in Brazil, in his second straight fight at bantamweight. Barcelos made his debut in the UFC at 145lbs, after spending most of his career at featherweight.

UFC 237 goes down May 11 at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
