No one saw the end coming at Bellator 215, with a low blow ending the heavyweight main event early, and leaving fans with plenty of sympathy for Sergei Kharitonov.
It’s hard to call photos of Bellator 215’s main event “highlights” exactly. The image of Sergei Kharitonov laying on the canvas, clutching his nether regions in sheer pain (or perhaps terror as to what might be mangled down below) after a Matt Mitrione kick landed flush on the groin was not a fun image to behold. Yet it put a cap on a bizarre night that saw a fighter dropped on his head (neck bending at a terrifying angle) pull off a win, and a co-main event where a dominant performance by Logan Storley was booed resoundingly.
The main event is what fans will remember, however, Fifteen seconds, and Kharitonov was down, in unimaginable pain.
