The UFC exits the FOX network on Saturday with UFC on FOX 31: Lee vs. Iaquinta 2, with fighters hitting the scales Friday morning for the official weigh-in.
The UFC’s final bow on FOX, UFC on FOX 31, takes place Saturday at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It has been an exciting seven years for the promotion under its first mainstream TV deal, with a number of milestones along the way. Yet with the promotion jumping to ESPN in 2019, it’s time to close out the era — with a card stacked with lightweight stars.
Atop the bill, Kevin Lee and Al Iaquinta, meeting for the second time. ‘Raging Al‘ got the better of Lee in their first meeting; can he repeat that feat? Co-main event action, meanwhile, sees another pair of lightweights throw down. This time it’s Dan Hooker getting his first shot against a ranked opponent, as he faces 5th ranked Edson Barboza.
Among the first fighters weighing in, Juan Adams hit the scales at 267, but opting for a towel, hit the heavyweight limit of 266.
Later in the morning, news broke that the women’s flyweight bout between Jessica-Rose Clark and KGB Lee had been cancelled.
