Bellator’s Salute the Troops event, a.k.a. Bellator 212, was set for Friday night in Hawaii — and with both Michael Chandler and Brent Primus weighing in within the lightweight limit Thursday, the main event was a go!

Bellator 212 (alternately Bellator: Salute the Troops) takes place Friday, the first of back-to-back cards the promotion is putting on in Honolulu, Hawaii. With a main event grudge match between Brent Primus and Michael Chandler, with Primus’ lightweight title on the line, there was bound to be fireworks on the island Friday night.

Beyond the title clash, former UFC heavyweight champ Frank Mir was set to look for his first win, against Javy Ayala. Undefeated phenom A.J. McKee was back against Daniel Crawford, and former women’s flyweight title challenger Alejandra Lara hoped to get back on track opposite Juliana Velasquez.

As fighters hit the scales Wednesday, both Chandler and Primus hit the mark for their championship fight — making the main event a go!
