An immediate rematch between Jinh Yu Frey against Minna Grusander will top Invicta FC 33 this December in Kansas City.

Invicta FC 33 will return to Kansas City, MO this December, the all-female fighting promotion’s home base. When it does, an immediate rematch for the atomweight title will top the card. On Wednesday, Invicta announced via press release that 105lb champion Jinh Yu Frey would face Minna Grusander in the evening’s main event. The pair first met at Invicta FC 30 in July, where Frey won a unanimous decision to claim the vacant championship. The fight was not without its controversy, however, despite the unanimous verdict.

Overall, Frey (7-3) is 5-2 in the promotion. Prior to winning the Invicta title, she’d come up short against former UFC fighter Seo Hee Ham for ROAD FC’s atomweight crown. Grusander (6-2) is 1-1 in Invicta, and had been on a four fight winning streak prior to her first meeting with Frey.

UFC veteran Danielle Taylor will also make her debut on the card. Taylor went 2-3 in the UFC between 2016 and 2018. Most recently, she suffered a unanimous decision loss against Zhang Weili at UFC 227.

Invicta FC 33’s opening bout between Chantel Coates and Ashlynn Kleinbeck will stream live on the Invicta FC Facebook page, as well as UFC Fight Pass. Fight Pass will air the card in its entirety. The event takes place Saturday, December 15. The current card looks as follows:
