UFC on FOX 31 has found its main event, as Al Iaquinta will take a break from the Real Estate business to face off with Kevin Lee.
The UFC’s next trip to Milwaukee, Wisconsin has its main event set. On Wednesday, the UFC announced that lightweights Kevin Lee and Al Iaquinta would meet at the FOX card. The pair, both of whom fought back in April, represent another big match-up in the UFC’s stacked lightweight division. Big enough to top the UFC Milwaukee card, a.k.a. UFC on FOX 31. That will mark the final UFC on FOX card, as the promotion transitions to ESPN next year.

Kevin Lee (17–3) most recently defeated Edson Barboza at UFC Atlantic City back in April. A thrilling battle, the only downside to the fight was that Lee missed weight for the first time in his career. The 26-year old is 6-1 in his last seven, with the only loss coming to Tony Ferguson for the UFC’s interim lightweight championship.
Al Iaquinta (13–4–1), of course, fought Khabib Nurmagomedov in April at UFC 223. Stepping up on short notice to fight ‘The Eagle’ for the vacant UFC lightweight title, Iaquinta went the full five rounds, but lost a one-sided unanimous decision. Iaquinta was later linked to a fight with Justin Gaethje, but that match-up fell through.
This will be the second meeting of Kevin Lee and Al Iaquinta. ‘Ragin’ Al’ defeated Lee when the pair first met at UFC 169 in 2014.
UFC Milwaukee, a.k.a. UFC on FOX 31, takes place December 15 at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
