Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers made his promotional debut at Bellator 200, and proved he has some skills after capturing a quick finish.

With millions of followers on social media, and 3-0 in his fledgling MMA career, it’s no surprise that Bellator wanted to be in the Aaron Chalmers business. That he was making his promotional debut on the main card of Bellator 200 was a bit of a surprise, but then, his inclusion saw the milestone event get added coverage from the likes of MTV. Win-win, in the end.

Chalmers happened to be part of the U.K.’s Geordie Shore, a Jersey Shore-style show that seemingly proves that poor taste knows no borders. Still, Chalmers was looking to make a go of an MMA career, and had more credentials than a certain former WWE star currently employed in the UFC. As for opponent Ash Griffiths? Rightly or wrongly, he was essentially lost in the mix.

Chalmers stayed light on his feet on the outside to open the three-round affair against Griffiths. His opponent, not interested in falling victim to the hype train, immediately shot for a takedown, but Chalmers quickly regained his feet. Griffths again took the action down, and Chalmers ate a big knee getting back up! Chalmers then floored Griffiths with a right hand, and swarmed to land some ground strikes. He locked in a guillotine as his opponent struggled to regain his footing! The standing guillotine sealed the deal, putting Ash Griffiths to sleep. ‘The Joker’ had a big win in his Bellator MMA debut.
