Eryk Anders wanted a scrap with ‘The Dragon’ — and he’s got it, in the UFC Belem main event.

After politely calling out UFC legend Lyoto Machida following his win at UFC Fresno, Eryk Anders has his wish. As first reported by MMA Today, Anders will face Machida in the main event of UFC Fight Night 125, otherwise known as UFC Belem. It will mark the biggest fight in Anders’ career, but there’s no question he’s pumped for it.

“You and me both” Anders told Cageside about looking forward to the bout, prior to it being officially announced today. Anders (10-0) picked up a unanimous decision win against former LFA middleweight champ Markus Perez at last week’s UFC Fight Night 123 in Fresno, CA. It marked his second straight victory in as many outings with the UFC. Now, the middleweight standout will move further up the ladder, something he told us was the focus at this point in his UFC tenure.

Lyoto Machida, meanwhile, will look to get back on track in the UFC Belem main event after a crushing loss to Derek Brunson at UFC Fight Night 119 in October. That marked Machida’s return to action following a lengthy suspension by USADA. It was also ‘The Dragon’s’ third straight loss dating back to an April 2015 submission by Luke Rockhold.

UFC Belem takes place in Belem, Brazil at the Arena Guilherme Paraense on February 3.
