Nate Diaz has fired back at Dana White as only a Diaz brother can.

Nate Diaz has responded to Dana White’s denial that a bout between Diaz and welterweight champ Tyron Woodley had been planned. And in typical Diaz fashion, no less. Posting to Instagram on Thursday, Diaz uploaded a clip of White discussing the proposed fight, that White alleges was offered by a UFC lawyer gone “off the reservation.”

Diaz, for his part, isn’t buying that excuse, and added “why is u lying” at the end of his post.

For those unaware, a potential fight between 170lb champ Woodley and the younger Diaz brother had been talked about for weeks. Though Diaz has not fought since his loss to Conor McGregor at UFC 202, his high profile certainly had fans excited. Tyron Woodley, for his part, claims the fight was offered, but that Diaz priced himself out. He ultimately elected to have shoulder surgery, taking himself out of the race for the next while.

Woodley also claimed he had accepted the fight. In any case, the fight won’t be happening now, and when Diaz returns to action is anyone’s guess. Earlier this year, Diaz got people talking when he claimed that “soon” was the word. Turns out it wasn’t.
