It was a good night for a trio of Brazilians at UFC on Fox 25, a.k.a. UFC Long Island. Three fighters from the South American MMA powerhouse picked up bonuses at the event, earning themselves an extra $50,000 U.S. in the process. Surprisingly, main event winner Chris Weidman, who choked out Kelvin Gastelum in the third round of their main event fight, was left out in the cold as far as bonuses go. That, however, opened up the door for Alex Oliveira (the Brazilian “Cowboy”) and Junior Albini to secure Performance of the Night bonuses.

Heavyweight Albini earned his extra dough on the night by finishing American Timothy Johnson on the Fight Pass preliminary portion of the card. A left hook and some hammer fists took Albini to bonus land, an important factor given he stated post-fight that he hadn’t been paid in several fights outside the UFC.

Alex Oliveira, meanwhile, earned his Performance of the Night bonus by setting up a beautifully timed right hand that dropped Ryan LaFlare as the American was shooting for a takedown. LaFlare went crashing to the canvas, while Oliveira went straight to the bank for the finish.

Fight of the Night honors at UFC on Fox 25 went to former Bellator MMA welterweight champion Lyman Good, who lost a spirited split decision to the third Brazilian to take home a bonus on the night, Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos.
