Invicta FC 24: Dudieva vs. Borella took place last night from the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, MO. In the main event, Italian Mara Borella scored something of an upset, taking a split decision from UFC veteran Milana Dudieva. Meanwhile, in the co-main event of the evening, former title challenger Jinh Yu Frey earned a unanimous decision against a dangerous Ashley Cummins in a fight much closer than the scorecards reflect.
Also on the card, original main event fighter Helena “Pretty” Kolesnyk made her Invicta FC debut against Pam “Bam” Sorenson. Sorenson was making a quick turnaround in the bout, after dropping a split decision to Ediane Gomes at Invicta FC 23. Sorenson made no mistake this time out, quickly securing an arm bar for the submission win over the newcomer. The bout was Sorenson’s second straight at featherweight.
In other featherweight action, Canadian Felicia Spencer opened the card by choking out America’s Amy Coleman.
