With the Korean Zombie out due to injury (now known to be a blown ACL and MCL), featherweight Jason Knight has been tabbed to face Ricardo Lamas at UFC 214. The UFC announced the news earlier today after the L.A. Times Lance Pugmire broke the switch.

The twenty-four year old Knight (17–2) has been on a roll of late. The Alan Belcher MMA product is coming off a third round TKO against Chas Skelly at UFC 211. Prior to that, he’d racked up wins over Alex “Bruce Leeroy” Caceres, Dan Hooker, and Jim Alers. Knight has also captured Performance of the Night bonuses in his past two fights.
Lamas (17–5) enters the bout with his most recent victory being a guillotine choke submission of Charles Oliveira. That fight got him back in the win column after a unanimous decision loss to Max Holloway at UFC 199. Holloway, of course, captured the undisputed featherweight title at UFC 212 this past weekend.
UFC 214 takes place July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. In the main event, light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will meet former champ Jon Jones for the second time.
