Legacy Fighting Alliance 12 went down last night in Prior Lake, Minnesota. In the main event, Derrick Krantz faced off against Ben Neumann for the inaugural LFA welterweight title. Also on the card, undefeated lightweight prospect Bobby Lee was looking at a step up in competition against Jeff Peterson. The card aired live on AXS TV and the Fight Network in Canada.

In the main event, a game Ben “The Baker” Neumann (who walked to the cage dressed as a baker) kept things interesting in the first round. However, come round two, Krantz unleashed his power, dropping Neumann then softening him up with blow after blow on the ground. A bloodied Neumann was left unable to intelligently defend himself, and the fight was waived off at 0:55 seconds of the second round. With the victory, Derrick Krantz earned his place in promotional history as the first LFA welterweight champion, and improved to 20-9.

The aforementioned Lee, meanwhile, 6-0 entering the night, wound up in a spectacular war with Jeff Peterson. After Lee likely took the first round, Peterson came on strong in the second. Both fighters had the other hurt at points, but by the third, Lee was looking worse for the wear, and narrowly escaped a stoppage. He falls to 6-1 with the loss, while Peterson captured the upset and improves to 5-4, with four wins in his past five.
