UFC Star Frankie Edgar Announces Launch of New Supplement Company

UFC featherweight contender and former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar is tired of not knowing what he’s putting in his body when using supplements. He’s also gambling that other athletes are as well, and he’s looking to do something about it. With that in mind, Edgar (21–5–1), who was last seen scoring a decision win over Jeremy Stephens at UFC 205, is launching a new supplement company: Iron Army. Edgar announced the news today via social media, including a video package released on his official Facebook page.

A website for the endeavor — http://theironarmy.com — was also unveiled. Interested parties are encouraged to sign up for more info.

Edgar released the following statement, explaining his reasoning in getting into the supplement market:

I’m launching a supplement brand this summer because it’s gotten to the point where I need to know exactly what I’m putting in my body. There’s not a lot of trustworthy brands out there so I commissioned the best formulator and marketing team to build products I can truly stand behind for REAL ATHLETES like you and me. Per the Iron Army website, the brand will go live Summer 2017.
