The UFC makes its debut in Serbia this weekend with UFC Belgrade headlined by hometown hero Uros Medic taking on the recently resurfaced Daniel “D-Rod” Rodriguez.
A pair of top 15 welterweights, Medic rides in on a three-fight win streak. Rodriguez, meanwhile, spent most of the past year in a Mexican prison on marijuana-related charges, but was finally freed several months back and immediately gets right back to work here.
Jan Blachowicz, originally set to face Bogdan Guskov (he shifted to last week’s UFC Abu Dhabi, losing to Magomed Ankalaev), faces Navajo Stirling in the light heavyweight co-main event at UFC Belgrade.
