UFC 329: Damian Pinas Explains Susurkaev Callout

Las Vegas — Damian Pinas left UFC 329 this past Saturday happy to see his hard work paying off.

Pinas (10-1) finished César Almeida on the preliminary card at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, then proceeded to make a callout that he followed up on backstage.

After his win, Pinas called out Baisangur Susurkaev, and seemed to take issue with the undefeated middleweight claiming to not know who he is.

“He’s supposed to know me, because I’m the one who gave him a chance to fight in the UFC,” Pinas told media outlets including Cageside Press at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. “I was supposed to fight on the Contender [Series], and I had to pull out because of my visa problem. So he got the chance. I don’t know why he said he didn’t know who Damian was. So he know me, clearly. If he don’t know me, he gonna get to know me in the octagon.”

Asked whether it was personal, the 2025 Contender Series winner responded by saying that “I never take nothing personally.”

Whether it’s Susurkaev or not, Pinas is aiming to get back to work in the fall. “I would like to get it October. October would be nice for me.”

He would later share where he thinks he has the edge over his would-be opponent. “That guy is too easy. Almeida going to kill that guy if [he] fights with Almeida. I kill him.”

So everywhere, it seems.
