The UFC has announced middleweight action set for October’s UFC 320.

Promotion officials revealed recently that Dana White’s Contender Series alum Joe Pyfer will face Abus Magomedov at the event in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 4, 2025.

Pyfer (14-3) was last seen getting his arm raised over TUF winner Kelvin Gastelum, after their long-awaited match-up finally took place at UFC 316. The pair had originally been booked as part of March’s UFC Mexico City, only for Pyfer to be stricken with food poisoning and forced out of the event.

Prior to that, “Bodybagz” had knocked out Marc-Andre Barriault, a win that dated back to June of 2024. Overall, Pyfer is 5-1 since joining the UFC, with his lone loss coming against Jack “The Joker” Hermansson.

Abus Magomedov (28-6-1) was initially fasted tracked upon arriving in the UFC in 2022, earning a shot at Sean Strickland in just his second fight with the promotion. After losing to Strickland and Caio Borralho one fight later, the promotion slowed Magomedov’s roll, but he has now won three straight, most recently picking up a unanimous decision victory over Michel Pereira.

UFC 320 is topped by a pair of title fights, with Magomed Ankalaev looking to turn back Alex Pereira in an immediate rematch at light heavyweight, while Merab Dvalishvili looks to defend his bantamweight crown opposite Cory Sandhagen. The following match-ups have been reported for the event to date:

  • Magomed Ankalaev (c) vs. Alex Pereira – for the UFC light heavyweight championship
  • Merab Dvalishvili (c) vs. Cory Sandhagen – for the UFC bantamweight championship
  • Jiří Procházka vs. Khalil Rountree Jr.
  • Abusupiyan Magomedov vs. Joe Pyfer
  • Ateba Abega Gautier vs. Osman Diaz
  • Edmen Shahbazyan vs. André Muniz
  • Veronica Hardy vs. Brogan Walker
