UFC featherweights Hyder Amil and Jose Miguel Delgado, both with current win streaks still intact, hoped to make a case for a ranking at UFC 317 on Saturday night.

Amil (11-0) came out of the Contender Series in 2023. Since then he’s put together a 3-fight UFC win streak to add onto his undefeated record.

Delgado (9-1) entered the UFC after his Contender Series victory in 2024. Coming off a TKO victory over Connor Matthews in February he took on a fellow up-and-comer in Las Vegas.

Round 1 Amil came out firing like a mad man as usual. Delgado was able to deal with the onslaught then shot in for a takedown that didn’t go his way. After the two fighters got back to their feet Delgado landed a big shot that dropped Amil ending the fight in an incredible 26 seconds.

Delgado ran around the cage celebrating by losing his mind, and Amil went right to referee Marc Goddard to protest the stoppage, but replays show it was a good stop.

In the post-fight interview Delgado called for a spot on the upcoming Noche UFC card in San Antonio, TX. Whoever he gets on that card they’ll have a real dog in front of them.

Official Result: Jose Miguel Delgado def. Hyder Amil via R1 TKO, 0:26
