The UFC makes its debut in Des Moines and returns to Iowa for the first time since 2000 when UFC Des Moines arrives at the Wells Fargo Arena this Saturday.
The Fight Night card, set to air on ESPN, sees Cory Sandhagen and Deiveson Figueiredo headline in a key fight for the bantamweight division. Both men were coming in off losses, Figueiredo to ex-champ Petr Yan, Sandhagen to recent title challenger Umar Nurmagomedov.
The winner would be looking to jump back in the title picture as champ Merab Dvalishvili prepares for a rematch with Sean O’Malley.
In the night’s co-main event, Bo Nickal was getting another step up in competition against former ONE Championship double-champ Reinier de Ridder.
