UFC lightweight Jordan Vucenic returns following a tough promotional debut to take on the always tough Chris Duncan at UFC London on Saturday night.
“Yeah typical just tough Scot,” Vucenic told reporters including Cageside Press on Thursday.
“He’s big for the weight class I know. People are probably going to watch this fight and think ‘F*ck Vucenic should go back down (to) 66 kilos, but it’s just going to be how big this guy is.”
Vucenic (13-3) isn’t quite so worried about the size of his opponent. The fight comes down to his strengths vs his.
“I think it’s just going to be that big tough guy versus the speed. You know the old saying, speed kills,” he said.
One of Vucenic’s rather obvious quirks is most of his body being covered in tattoos. The surprising thing is he’s not a fan of getting them.
“There’s going to be many post-fight tattoos I’m sure. Well I say that I’ve not got really much room left do I? I’ve got an arm pit on the other side I’m dreading getting that done. People think I enjoy getting tattooed. I actually don’t like it anymore,” Vucenic told Cageside Press.
“I really dread the thought of getting tattooed. I just need to get it done. I can’t sort of stop can I?”
Maybe a tattoo bet with the also very tatted up Duncan might be in order. Duncan hinted as much and maybe even loser getting the winner’s nickname tattooed on their behind.
“I’ve got a blank canvas there, so yeah I’m ready for that,” he said with a laugh.
“And it’s going to stay a blank canvas.”
