The preliminary card flyweight fight between Park Hyun-sung and Nyamjargal Tumendemberel scheduled to kick off UFC 312 has been cancelled.

Ahead of Friday’s official weigh-in in Sydney, Australia, promotion officials announced that the fight was off, due to “weight management issues” on the part of Tumendemberel.

No further details were provided. The bout was the only flyweight fight scheduled for the event on the men’s side (on the women’s, Bruna Brasil vs. Wang Cong is set for 125lbs).

Mongolia’s Tumendemberel featured on the Road to UFC prior to landing in the promotion proper. He’s 0-1 in the UFC officially, and was looking to rebound from a loss to Carlos Hernandez back in November.

UFC 312 takes place at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia on Saturday, February 8, 2025 (Sunday local time). Both main event fighters, Dricus Du Plessis and Sean Strickland, weighed in without issue on Friday — as did the co-headliners, strawweight champ Weili Zhang, and TUF 23 winner Tatiana Suarez.
