Albuquerque, NM – UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones reached an agreement in Bernalillo County to dismiss misdemeanor charges stemming from an interaction with a drug-testing agent on March 30.
Jones appeared virtually with attorney Christopher Dodd at his side agreed to stay out of trouble for 90 days and complete four hours of anger management training. Once he completes the requirements the charges will be dismissed. Judge Asra I. Elliot approved the plea adjudication agreement between the prosecutors and Jones’s team.
On March 30 two UFC anti-doping agents from Drug Free Sport International arrived to Jones Albuquerque home to collect samples for testing. According to agent Crystal Martinez, Jones threatened her and took her phone while she and her co-worked attempted to collect a urine sample from the UFC heavyweight.
Martinez was present virtually as a witness in today’s proceeding, but did not speak.
Jones took to social media to issue a statement on the matter.

Jon Jones (27-1) is preparing to defend his UFC heavyweight title against former champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 on Nov 16 at Madison Square Garden. The two had been set to fight at UFC 295, but Jones suffered a torn pectoral muscle which postponed the fight almost a full year later.
