Prediction: Calderon is taking this fight on short notice. Props to him for taking this fight, but the guy just doesn’t have it. He’s 2-2 in his last four and has beaten nothing but bums. He has no redeeming qualities other than he can snatch up the neck if his opponent is lazy.

His defense is terrible all around. He’s a volume guy but his hands are terrible and he leads in with his chin. With this fight, Montes is the more skilled guy. He’s a bit hard to trust however because defensively, he’s not there. I don’t trust his chin but being caught by Calderon would be an all-time bad look.

Montes I don’t believe is UFC level but he’s more proven. I like Montes more on the feet as he has more weapons. Calderon could be tricky on the mat but I believe Montes is more of a submission threat than he is. I’m taking Montes by first-round TKO and I’m 60% confident.
